Making some progress on the helmet. Continued to sand with 100 grit and finer grits. The wood filler is working good. Fitted the helmet parts together and super glued the two face sections. Used pan head screws on the posts to hold the front and back parts together. Used a sanding drum on a Dremel to remove areas on the inside of the helmet that interfered with the movement of the face part. In order to put the helmet on your head the two halves move apart, much like a visor on a motorcycle helmet. Once on your head you shut the two sections together.
